We are an authentic Montessori school serving families across Westchester County with three convenient locations: New Rochelle, Larchmont, and Rye Brook.
At The Nurtury Montessori, we care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years, providing age-appropriate environments, materials, and activities that support each stage of development. Every detail of our schools is designed to nurture children’s independence, creativity, and confidence so that when they transition to elementary school, they are well-prepared academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is grounded in the vision of Dr. Maria Montessori, who believed that education should nurture the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
By creating beautifully prepared environments with carefully chosen Montessori materials, we foster curiosity, independence, and respect. Indoors and outdoors, children have the freedom to explore and discover at their own pace.
At The Nurtury Montessori, we are more than a school—we are an educational community of teachers and parents, working together to raise capable and compassionate individuals.
Who We Are
The Nurtury Montessori opened its doors in 2007, founded by Cathy Billone, with the support and encouragement of her daughters, Brianna and Jenessa. Inspired by their family’s own Montessori journey, they set out to create a school designed specifically for children ages 0–6, giving parents a true Montessori option for full-time care.
As a family-owned and boutique-style Montessori school, The Nurtury Montessori has remained committed to individualized care, authentic Montessori practices, and strong parent partnerships. This foundation has allowed us to grow into three thriving locations while maintaining the warm, personal environment that families love.
We believe our approach—continuity of care from infancy to age six—gives children the brightest possible start in life.
