A Joyful Montessori Journey from 6 Weeks to 6 Years
At The Nurtury Montessori, children are given the tools, environment, and guidance to grow into confident, capable learners. Our curriculum follows the authentic Montessori method, allowing each child to progress at their own pace, guided by curiosity and supported by caring, highly trained educators.
We offer three core programs, each tailored to a specific stage of development:
The earliest months and years of life are critical for forming trust, independence, and secure attachments. At The Nurtury Montessori, our infant classrooms — called Nido Rooms (Italian for “nest”) — provide a calm, nurturing environment where babies are free to explore and thrive.
Highlights of Our Infant Program:
✓ Movement areas with customized stands, stairs, and bars for pulling up
✓ Sensorial experiences with Montessori materials designed for developing curiosity and motor skills
✓ Individualized rest spaces with cozy cribs and quiet sleeping areas
✓ Child-sized eating areas that promote independence from the very beginning (no high chairs!)
✓ Infant massage and music activities that support bonding, coordination, and emotional development
✓ Outdoor exploration in environments designed specifically for babies
We honor each infant’s natural rhythms and routines while providing a warm, responsive, and loving community for their first learning experiences.
Toddler Program
Toddlers are active explorers, ready to practice independence and test their growing abilities. Our toddler classrooms are carefully prepared to support this exciting stage of development, offering opportunities for practical life skills, sensorial exploration, and creativity.
Highlights of Our Toddler Program:
✓ Practical life activities such as pouring, sweeping, folding, and cooking projects
✓ Montessori sensorial materials for refining senses and hand-eye coordination
✓ Opportunities for art and creativity including painting, gluing, and collage
✓ Music, dance, and large muscle activities like climbing, balancing, and skipping
✓ Group and individual work areas, fostering both independence and social learning
✓ Classrooms filled with beauty, simplicity, and order to help toddlers feel safe and focused
At this stage, children learn concentration, order, and independence while developing friendships and learning the foundations of cooperation.
The primary years are often described as the most critical time in a child’s education. Maria Montessori called this stage the “absorbent mind,” when children are naturally curious and eager to explore the world.
Our Primary classrooms are multi-age environments, where children learn from and with one another. Here, your child will discover the joy of purposeful work while building academic foundations for future success.
Highlights of Our Primary Program:
✓ Practical Life: Activities that build independence, coordination, and concentration
✓ Sensorial Materials: Tools for refining senses and exploring shapes, textures, and patterns
✓ Language: Reading, writing, and communication skills nurtured through phonics and storytelling
✓ Mathematics: Hands-on exploration of numbers, operations, and problem-solving
✓ Cultural Studies: Geography, history, and science activities that expand world knowledge
✓ Art and Music: Creative expression through drawing, painting, singing, and rhythm
✓ Grace and Courtesy: Lessons that foster kindness, empathy, and respect
The goal of our Primary program is to help each child become an independent, confident, and joyful learner — ready for elementary school and beyond.

What Makes Montessori Different?
A True Montessori Experience vs. Montessori-Inspired Programs
Today, many childcare centers describe themselves as “Montessori-inspired,” but not all of them follow the authentic Montessori method. At The Nurtury Montessori, we are proud to be a full Montessori school — which means your child will experience the complete benefits of Dr. Maria Montessori’s proven educational approach.
Here’s the difference:
Montessori-Inspired School
Traditional daycare with some Montessori elements (toys, materials, or occasional activities)
Often only part of the day is structured around Montessori philosophy
Classrooms may not be designed with independence or child-led exploration in mind
The Nurtury Montessori – Authentic Montessori
Full-day, true Montessori environment from infancy to age six
Carefully prepared classrooms designed around the child’s developmental needs
Montessori-trained teachers guiding children with respect and encouragement
Multi-age classrooms that allow children to learn from peers and develop leadership skills
Consistency and continuity from Infant → Toddler → Primary, so children experience stability throughout their early years
A curriculum that nurtures not only academics but also emotional intelligence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning
Why Authentic Montessori Matters
Children in authentic Montessori settings often show greater:
Independence
They learn to do things for themselves and take pride in their accomplishments.
Confidence
They build resilience by tackling challenges at their own pace.
Curiosity
Learning is fueled by discovery, not rote memorization.
Respect for others
Social and emotional development is just as important as academics.
At The Nurtury Montessori, every aspect of your child’s day — from the materials they touch to the way teachers interact with them — is rooted in Montessori philosophy. That’s what makes our programs truly different from a typical preschool or daycare.
